Loving

When I was in the military they gave me a medal for killing two men and a discharge for loving one. ~Leonard P. Matlovich

Sadly apt like blinding light, Getzapped.

How ironic right...Somehow, it's a very poignant picture...

Indeed, ironic and sad. Let's hope some day we won't be killing others; only loving them.

While I must admit (to my shame) I am not 100% comfortable with the photo, I certainly agree with the sentiment.
A thought occurred to me: I don't HAVE to be comfortable with it- it's not required, I just accept and keep moving.

matthias, I really honor your comment. The truth is spoken. And more true is that you don't have to be comfortable, life isn't just being cozy in our cocoon, but moving along the path and taking time to observe the world around us and how we interact and learn from it. Acceptance is a practice.

it is a funny old world we live in. all we can do is (watch out for the cheese) be nice to people around us, and be nice to ourselves, and hope it spreads. thanks fopr your visit zippy. or is it zappy? ;0)

Pod - yes, a good practice of spreading kindness, thanks! Oh, zippy or zappy well, that depends on my mood ; )

What the hell does one say to that, except... what? It's foolishly inane, and reflects the distance we've gone in the wrong direction. We're going the wrong way. Can't someone do something?

let's start a revolution!

It is appalling the backwards direction we've taken. A revolution of love and acceptance - wouldn't it be nice!
