Seek Truth

Seek truth in meditation, not in moldy books. Look in the sky to find the moon, not in the pond. ~Persian Proverb

I usually sit on moldy books when I meditate.

Truth. Now that is something I can sink my teeth into.

Of course, one person's truth is another person's lies.

Books have taught me a lot, Getzapped.
Perhaps a little of both.
A touch of moonlight in the ripples of a pond may form a nice mix.

A Chinese Proverb says that when the wise man is showing the moon, the idiot one is looking to the finger.

The reason why I like the moon is that it is shining for everybody everywhere in the world

Once, I did a post, we were three photographers and I published our three different pictures of the full moon taken from different parts of France and even country almost at the same time.

hi susan- yes, books can teach us very much, and like you said it's a mix - inner reflection and that which lies outside us.

Hey cergie, wonderful proverb, thanks for sharing it. I love your moon idea. It would be fun to see the photos....
