Ooh, love this quote and picture. I love those times when you're gardening and the rain just barely begins to sprinkle down and you can hear birds chirping.
(additional decor tip: paint the dust ruffle while it's on the bed and only do the side that's most visible!) Now you know my secret!
I have a corner of a community garden and am watching my little ballerina poppy seedlings sprout. I also started a kitchen garden and will grow veggies until it's time to put in the chrysanthemums. When I have a significant amount of green I will post a photo or too. Happy Equinox to you Zap. May you embrace the return of the light..
There was a store here years ago that used to sell scents in a bottle and one of them was "dirt." My favorite one was "grass." (The kind you mow!) They really smelled exactly like they would have in nature. I wish I could bottle salt air ;)
I enjoy the outdoors, where I gather much of my creative inspiration. I find it necessary to spend time in nature, for balance and sanity. Get Zapped is where I post my photos accompanied by quotes I find intriguing. Get Zen is for sharing my Illustrations, design work, poetry, and other creative outlets. Thanks for stopping by.

It might be a while before I see mud to put my toes into.
Happy spring to you, too!

What a lovely composition for the March 21st!
smell like dirt, look like dirt, feel like dirt, move like dirt. yup--that's me, the happy gardener.
my only problem is my nails, which do not appreciate digging without gloves but i don't want to wear gloves, because then i won't feel the dirt!
Z. When you told me that I smelled like dirt, I thought that you were insulting me. I see now that it was love. Thank you.

Yeah, I longing for the smell:)
Yeah spring!
polona- we’re lucky in Seattle, we have community gardens. Just find some dirt and dig ☺
Tammie- thanks, at least we benefit from those lovely icy photos of yours!
Sandy- she certainly has a way with words…
soulbrush- fantastic!
Joni- yes, that gentle kiss of PNW mist. Hey, thanks a bunch for the tip!
Devika- best wishes to you. I love you recent posts, but can’t comment…
JM – glad you like it.
Kj- lol, I can totally relate, what’s the use of playing dirt if you can’t feel it?
Writer- who can resist the earthy sent of dirt?
Princess- I can see the little sprouts already ☺ looking forward to your green posts.
humaonO- many thanks!
lolo- you crack me up. How about in Harold and Maude when Maude had the machine of scents, and she gave Harold the one with a snowfall in NYC!
Peter- right on!
Yoon- it will come…
Marc- yippee!
Amen to that! Now if only spring would get here for good :)

My daughter and her boy friend offered to me a clay tile whith this written on it :
"Geduldig wartend überdauert das Unkraut des Menschen nichtiges Tun"
It's better I show it to you....
