Coffee? Absolutely. ;) Obits I use to read on a daily basis as well, but I was going through a rough patch. I don't do that anymore. Good thing to because its a bit of a downer.
I've been pondering the aging process as of late (probably because I read Ecclesiasties 12:1-6 yesterday- check it out, it's a very poetic rendering about aging....if you read it out of the King James, "Grinders" are teeth!)
But also, my Dad was having a hard time hearing someone yesterday, and I teased him about being like that passage- and he agreed. We all get old really fast!
In gaining an understanding of our own mortality we learn to appreciate (and give gratitude for) every moment of this blessing of life that we have been given. I surmise that as we get older we are more appreciative of every day that we are alive. As an older friend once said to me "Every day I wake up now is a good one"
I enjoy the outdoors, where I gather much of my creative inspiration. I find it necessary to spend time in nature, for balance and sanity. Get Zapped is where I post my photos accompanied by quotes I find intriguing. Get Zen is for sharing my Illustrations, design work, poetry, and other creative outlets. Thanks for stopping by.

layla- I can see the interest in it, why not? - we all will die whether we like it or not ;-\
polona- don't do coffee either :p
shrig- so much can be learned about other lives through the obits, but I can see how it would be difficult during a low period.
lp- I'll have to check that out, thanks, and yes it happens to the best of us :-)
raindog- yes, he hits things right on a lot!
moment- I'd have to agree, it's a shame it takes getting old and feeble to acknowledge this for a lot of folks...
Enjoying my peaceful stay in Baja! It's ending soon :(
