Heard funny joke when I was a kid - I think from Buddy Hackett- it goes something like this: "A guy got slapped by Dolly Parton the other day when he introduced her and the leader of the PLO to each other ---- he said, turning to each, "Dolly Parton-- Yasser Arafat- Yasser Arafat - Dolly Parton"- at which point Dolly let him have it!" Well I still think it's funny... Anyhow seems she has a great brain, heart, talent, - and sense of humor.
She's a very strong woman,is Parton but still vain. Saw her in an interview recently. btw, pertaining to this post, don't think you'd want to read mine today...Getzapped. :-)
I chose to respond to this post because Dolly is one of my heroes. It's nice to see someone else have a similar take on her. She's been blessed with many talents, and seeing the goodness in others is one of them. I think she only refers to her well endowed self because everyone else goes there. It's nice to see her laugh off most of the comments! She does so much for children and reading. I had no idea about her Imagination Station Library until she personally chose my books as honorees. And hey...thanks for sending me the link to the art happenings! How sweet of you to think of me :) ~Laurel~
Laurel- I'm not familiar with her Imagination Station Library, but will investigate. Yes, she is much more than her boobs and hair! Thank you for sharing and good luck with the art submission - if you go that route. Peace.
I enjoy the outdoors, where I gather much of my creative inspiration. I find it necessary to spend time in nature, for balance and sanity. Get Zapped is where I post my photos accompanied by quotes I find intriguing. Get Zen is for sharing my Illustrations, design work, poetry, and other creative outlets. Thanks for stopping by.

I've heard this quote before ... and she's right, we're all so much more than what people see on the frame of our bodies. Much peace, JP
