Piece of Music

When I don't like a piece of music, I make a point of listening to it more closely. ~Florent Schmitt

that sounds a wise thing to do

I too try to find a meeting point with a piece I don't like. It makes one more aware of the differences and their unique qualities.

Oh Getzapped, I'd disagree. Life is too short to spend time on things I don't like especially when I can learn so much more easily from the things I do. Observed from trial and error through the years. As always, to each his own.

Always the best approach to a work of art! (And people, too, maybe....)

polona- and open...

janice- I find I move on pretty quickly - good for you.

lp- thanks! :)

suzan- yes, to a point, but then we may really learn something about ourselves from things we are uncomfortable with - doesn't mean we have to like it, just learn from it.

sandy- good point!!
