Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek. ~Barack Obama
i knew he was something special from the first time i heard him speak. and to hear the reaction from the world is amazing. i think we've picked a winner. it was the proudest vote i ever cast.
Right GZ, But to me Obama too his own TIME to realise his dream and God has been kind with him...
if the US economy didn't slide that way, his victory wouldn't have been so easy or possible..to me he was beginning to show his fake/vulgar faces just before things went wrong for the economy...
then it became all easy for him..
so CHANGE in matters of Providence is not our hands! my feeling though.
i fail to understand the Amrica psyche and its waverings, really. sorry if i am blunt...but thats my feeling..
devika- I think what made it "easy" for him is that our country is ready for change and he represents this opportunity. It won't be easy for us but, I have hope and faith. This is a huge relief for many of us.
I understand and appreciate your viewpoint; but, i have been studying politico-economic reports that made comment so.
Obama as President is a great relief for India and its people too, when considering the larger picture. for the world too, they say..if he gains confidence of the domestic and extended societes --
and for me personally too, because it by all means confirms that dreams can be worked upon if we have hope and faith!I too live on hope and faith..
thanks and wishes! devika
ps: seen your comment at Essential Me...i was not taking time out to listen. what one already heard, why spend time on rewinding -- afterall the music on play wasn't that good for me. I was away since evening...
And, chill i do like to, but my dreams aren't sweet or that easy...or nothing personal i see in it...hard to explain beyond that; and need not be revealed too..i think.
i am not replying to anyone at that blog, thats why i made the reply here.
YES!! I agree with Raindog 100%! Election day felt like New Year's...So exciting! I do feel like if anyone can help this country, he is the one. It is so nice to feel the change in the air!
I read in a Thomas Friedman book (or article) that a group at MIT had a slogan for thier group, "We are the change we've been waiting for." I think it strinkes just the right.
I hope people understand it's going to take some time to see this change, but it's certainly not a hopeless one. Our country has seen worse times.
I enjoy the outdoors, where I gather much of my creative inspiration. I find it necessary to spend time in nature, for balance and sanity. Get Zapped is where I post my photos accompanied by quotes I find intriguing. Get Zen is for sharing my Illustrations, design work, poetry, and other creative outlets. Thanks for stopping by.

beaucoup d'espoir, esperons qu'il ne nous déçoive pas !
