Today the fate of humankind is even more crucially linked than ever before. The boundaries between the problems of "others" and "our" problems are being increasingly erased. ~Janez Drnovsek

True...we call it "shared destiny" in Sustainable Development programmes...That could turn out to be a "shared prosperity" -- if only....oh, its a big If...except hope what do we have :)
Nice post, GZ :)

"Not in my back yard" can't take a stance today. We're all affected by every action, really.
We can point fingers or we can roll up our sleeves and ask how we can help.
This photograph really touches me with this gulf situation.
Beautiful.♥
So very true. Each year that passes, it gets more true, doesn't it? I always in the back of my mind, wonder what we are leaving our children..and it makes me more eager to do what I can to help the planet, invest in organic veggies and fruits at the stores, not shop at the big W, that sort of thing...small steps, but in my mind, something, right?! .thank you for this post!

I've never thought of it that way. Beautiful photo too!
devika- excellent point!
lolo- yep, we all contribute one way or the other and we can choose how....
shirley- absolutely! It's easy to go for convenience and cost, but in the long run, if we don't support local shops and growers, it will cost much more in the end.
deepak - thanks!
rizak- but they can't hide forever!
donny- and hopefully more people will wake up to this reality.
joni - it's good to be open to new things...
