Golden Autumn Days

Yellow, mellow, ripened days,
Sheltered in a golden coating;
O'er the dreamy, listless haze,
White and dainty cloudlets floating;
Winking at the blushing trees,
And the sombre, furrowed fallow;
Smiling at the airy ease,
Of the southward flying swallow,
Sweet and smiling are thy ways,
Beauteous, golden Autumn days

~Will Carleton

Nice; here it could also be autumnal when supposed to be spring. the flowers are working at it but some deciduous trees are not leafing up. Further south there is frost and snow. [Not that you needed a weather report!]

I so love pictures and paintings of woods that draw you right in. I can smell the after-rain dampness and fresh air. Just lovely! The poem you chose is a perfect compliment...and 'cloudlets", I love that!

This little verse reminds me of fruit baskets, Getzapped. Bananas, oranges, lemons and the like...
A sunny feel! :-)
