Such a great thing to keep in mind- especially for me personally....we've decided that gas prices are too outrageous to go on a road trip this year....
I'll need to find the exotic, interesting and illuminating right in my own backyard, so to speak!

Perhaps that's why most of us seem to be rooted to the same spot, no matter how much we (try to) expand our horizons through travel etc.
